Privacy Policy
At Arbor Mac we value your privacy:
- Passcode Exemption: Device passcodes are not requested for standard hardware repairs, including screen, battery, and charging port replacements. Passcodes are requested only when technically necessary for dedicated data recovery projects or specialized logic board diagnostics.
- Data Integrity: Personal data remains untouched throughout the service workflow. Technicians do not access, browse, copy, transfer, or modify personal files, photos, messages, or application data.
- Information Use: Contact details and device specifications collected through our web forms or intake systems are used strictly to coordinate service, provide customer support, deliver digital receipts, and improve your overall experience. Arbor Mac does not sell, lease, resell, or distribute customer information to third parties.
Limited Lifetime Warranty
Arbor Mac provides a Limited Lifetime Warranty covering replacement parts and labor on qualifying hardware repairs.
Scope of Coverage
The warranty protects against manufacturing defects in replacement components (such as touch digitizer failure or non-impact display malfunctions) and issues stemming from repair workmanship. Replacement batteries, categorized as consumable components, carry a one-year warranty against defect or premature failure.
Exclusions
The warranty explicitly excludes any damage resulting from subsequent physical drops, pressure fractures, impact-induced internal display damage, or liquid exposure sustained after service completion. Any unauthorized third-party modification or disassembly performed after repair will void coverage.
Repair & Shop Practices
No Fix, No Fee: We operate on a straightforward "No Fix, No Fee" service structure for all standard hardware replacements. If we cannot successfully resolve your device's standard issue, you are not charged for the attempt. (Please note: Liquid damage and complex data recovery involve intensive initial bench labor and follow the specific diagnostic structure below).
Liquid Damage & Diagnostics: Standard liquid damage diagnostic and cleaning runs $150, which serves as a non-refundable credit for repair services necessary beyond cleaning. This process takes 2-4 hours on average, and up to 24 hours depending on bench availability and severity/complexity. If cleaning of liquid-damaged components is insufficient to restore function or access data, deeper, component-level diagnostic and repair is necessary. This process takes 2 to 6 weeks on average; upon inspection and issue-confirming diagnostic, you will receive a quote for repair services in excess of your cleaning/diagnostic fee under no obligation to you.
Functional Testing: When repairs are performed without a device passcode, quality control testing is conducted exclusively via lock-screen emergency functions. Full hardware verification (e.g., front-facing sensors, microphones, internal cameras) requires client testing upon pickup.
Device Storage & Retention: Devices must be collected within a reasonable timeframe following service completion. Equipment left unclaimed after 45 calendar days without prior arrangement is subject to storage fees or recycling in accordance with state abandoned property laws.
